“Una Notte in Italia”, born in 1991, from a group of friends in love with the island of Tavolara and cinema culture, has followed closely for years the production and events of Italian cinema, involving authors and performers in its development.
The festival has always maintained the same prerogatives: a lot of Italian cinema, sometimes the most marginalized by distribution circuits, the same inimitable setting (Tavolara has been defined the most fascinating outdoor arena in the world and true cinema in Paradise) and the desire to affirm that even an environmental asset of inestimable value such as the island of Tavolara could be enjoyed with intelligent proposals that perfectly combine landscape protection and tourism. With a space traditionally dedicated to Sardinian cinema and in particular to young directors or significant works of the regional panorama.
The activity of the festival has always placed the emphasis on the environmental enhancement of the island and has helped the establishment of a protected marine reserve now well established on the national and international scene.
