Life Puffinus Tavolara

Life Puffinus Tavolara

Co-financed by the European Union and concluded in 2018, the Life Puffinus Tavolara project was carried out with the Municipality of Olbia and the company NEMO. The main action was the eradication of the black rat (Rattus rattus) from the island of Tavolara for the protection of the berta minor, considering that the island hosts more than half of the world population of this species. Other project actions were the eradication of the invasive alien plant from the dunes of Tavolara and the containment of wild goats on the island.
